Completed Civil War Corset

Here's a finished shot of me in my new Civil War corset. It'll do the job so I can move forward with my Gettysburg dress, but it's a bit too small...I can't even post the back shot because I'm a bit embarrassed by the fit. In hindsight, I definitely should size up Simplicity 7215. It was my favorite corset, and I hope to fit back into it someday.

it looks great! nice to see that pattern made up. i did something similar with my previous corset... it was WAY too small in the bust and too big in the hips! i never let anyone look at the back... oh well, live and learn!

I needed an extra 4 inches or so in the back of the corset (the gap is waaaay too big). It's odd since the rest of the corset fits so nicely...the bust and hip gussets are where they should be, and the side seam is where it belongs. I notice that the model on the front of the package seems to have a very large lacing gap as well. Maybe this is how the pattern was designed.
